„Challenges of primary mathematics education
as a part of teaching for the 21st century“



Conference will be held from 24 to 26 April 2024
in the premises of the Zerrenpach Hotel, Osrblie (Slovakia)

The aim of the conference is to present the original results of scientific research and professional work in the field of mathematics and didactics of mathematics focused on the application of mathematics in primary education and primary school teachers' training.

Conference languages: English, Czech, Slovak, Polish.

  • The goals of primary mathematics education in the 21st century
  • Education and personal development of the 21st century' teacher
  • Methods and aids(tools) in teaching mathematics in the 21st century
  • Mathematical and digital literacy of the teacher and student in the 21st century

Conference fee: 120 EUR.
The conference fee includes the costs of conference materials, publication and other related organizational costs. Does not include accommodation for participants. The conference fee needs to be paid by March 22, 2024 by bank transfer:

In advance to the presented lectures, the Abstracts proceedings with ISBN will be compiled for conference purposes (Abstracts need to be sent by March 22, 2024). The conference participants is offered the possibility to publish the full text of the paper in the Elementary Mathematics Education Journal (ISSN 2694-8133) or in the Math Teacher journal (ISSN 1210-9037). The publication rules are governed by the rules of the listed journals. All necessary information for authors can be found on the respective journals' websites.

At the conference, plenary lectures will be presented in the range of 45 min + 15 min of discussion and registered contributions of individual participants in the range of 15 min + 5 min of discussion. Meeting rooms will be equipped with the necessary equipment.

Registration is possible together with the delivery of the abstract until March 22, 2024.

There are accommodation possibilities in the premises of the Zerrenpach hotel, which is located in the picturesque village Osrblie in the microregion Čierny Hron. Conference participants pay accommodation individually.
